Vacation

We were on vacation in August. We spent one week in Sweden and drove more than 1500 kilometers on Swedish roads. What a bliss!

Annual summer fair

It's time for the annual summer fair, a three-day event with approximately 50000 visitors.

Even Native Americans are in town.

Back in business

Order has been restored, I got my car back today (Friday). Now we are one.

I took this picture when I picked up the car.

Well, the shop didn't get the correct spare-part (my car has the 16-valve engine, somebody delivered the clutch for the 8-valve model).

So now I'm driving this piece of Euro-technology, a Fiat Idea. Nice city-car but it is definitely not "me", too much electronics and the car is not designed for short drivers.

Air conditioning is nice to have of course.
Hopefully I will get my car back on Thursday or Friday

This is what my precious quality car looks like, an original owner Lada 110, model year 2001.

The backup system is attached to the rear.

The roof-box is a true Biltema one (well known discount / mail-order shop in this region).

Just created my blog today, sitting in the public library. My car is in for service and I am on vacation today.
